More Essential than Ever
Did you know that more than 80 percent of South Dakota children live in a home where all parents are in the labor force? Finding the right childcare for your family can be tough. Finding the right childcare during the pandemic is a whole nother beast. As parents start going back to work, childcare providers are now even more essential than ever.
“Access to quality childcare services is a critical component of a healthy economy,” president and CEO of Greater Sioux Falls Chamber of Commerce, Jeff Griffin stated. “Parents need reliable childcare in order to participate in the workforce and meet the needs of their families.”
Dedicating more than 790,000 hours of quality care for children as young as four weeks to five years old, EmBe is located in Sioux Falls and is ready to serve its community. With a goal that aims to empower and aid growth in children EmBe is a great fit for any family.
“At the heart of our mission is serving our community, and we place the health and safety of our families at the top of our priorities,” Megan Can Holland, marketing manager at EmBe says.
EmBe isn’t just any old childcare provider; it’s more than just a place for parents to send their children when they must be apart. In addition to keeping your kids safe, they have developed a creative curriculum for preschool aged children that teaches them to be confident, imaginative, and confident thinkers.
Bringing in a variety of social life, motivation and enrichment skills and self-improvement activities including arts, crafts, STEM and more, children enrolled in EmBE programs are ensured safety and fun. Between hands-on exploration and discovery, your children learn to build lifelong critical thinking skills and foster confidence.
Megan adds, “We are preparing children for lifelong learning, empowering our future leaders with exciting activities and exploration beyond the basic curriculum.”
In addition to providing quality care and education, EmBe wants their services to be available to everyone. EmBe offers scholarship support to families that need care who cannot afford the full cost of the programs. “EmBe is committed to being accessible to all and support those who may be in a challenging financial situation,” says Megan.
This year, EmBe has received generous gifts from the Sioux Falls Area Community Foundation and South Dakota Community. Citibank has also made a generous contribution this year showing their support for the childcare programs. Through the help of these three organizations, scholarships and funding for parents is more accessible.
