The day you’ve been waiting for is finally here! Take a deep breath and relax.
At the beginning of the month, you’ve already checked in with all of your vendors and venue; and last night, you decorated your reception and ceremony site. Now, all you have left to do is say “I do.” These last-minute tips will save you any stress and extra time on the big day.
Unplug
Put your phone in your room for the day and forget about it. The last thing you want is to worry about your caterer calling with last-minute questions. Make sure your vendors have your attendant's, bridesmaid's or groomsman's contact information for things that may arise. Sometimes, even your parents’ numbers for any urgent matters is helpful. Explain the plan to those who are “emergency contacts” so they can answer any questions.
Not so sure about completely unplugging? Purchase a cute handbag for the day and keep it with your attendant or maid of honor. They will be able to answer your phone and field any questions from callers.
Relax, and Be Flexible
If you are a planner, Type A person — this will be easier said than done. But, trust us! It will make your day so much better if you can just go with the flow. It’s okay if not everything goes according to plan.
Oftentimes, when event planners know every single details that needs to happen — it's easy to see the flaws. Just know that your guests don't know all the ins and outs. With the help of awesome Black Hills professionals, you will have what you need to stay on track. Stressing about every last thing isn’t going to help you at all, so enjoy what you have in front of you! The important thing to remember is that this is your big day. You’re saying “I do” to a lifetime of love and growth with your significant other.
Don't Forget to Eat!
We know that pre-wedding jitters are real, but don’t forget to eat and drink. Stay hydrated while getting ready, eat breakfast, and take a break for a quick bite at lunch. (If your hair appointment is at the salon around lunchtime, ask if they allow food to be brought in.)
As the cliché goes — your wedding day will fly by in the blink of an eye. It's busy! And you are the star of the show. Between celebrating with your new spouse to greeting guests and keeping up with your wedding party, you will have a lot of things going on during this big day. Pack snacks in your handbag or Day Of Wedding Kit, and again, stay hydrated! (Tip: Use a straw so your lipstick doesn't smudge.)
